About Me
My name is Haley Batchelor. I graduated from Winston County High School in 2006 then attended the University of North Alabama in Florence where I received both of my degrees. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology in 2010 and again in 2012 with a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling (PK-12). I am an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). My school counseling journey began in January 2012! I love being a school counselor! I strive to have a positive impact on DSMS and our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

DSMS Classroom Counseling
Individual and Small Group Counseling
I see students for many different reasons. Some of the reasons are related to family changes/issues or any traumatic event such as a divorce, the death of a loved one, a recent move, or even a natural disaster. I help students work through other issues that adults sometimes do not think about or do not consider to be problems such as social skills, finding motivation, body changes, hygiene, identity issues, and anything else that may come up.
Please feel free to contact me if you think individual or small group counseling would be beneficial. All forms of communication are kept private unless legal requirements demand confidential information be shared or sharing information will prevent serious and foreseeable harm to a child. If someone is at risk of being harmed, students shouldn’t keep this information to themselves. In a case like this, I would only notify those who had the legal right to know and help.
